Marriage Celebrant

I create warm, relaxed, and memorable wedding ceremonies that truly reflect your personalities and your story. From our first meeting to your walk down the aisle, my goal is to make the entire experience enjoyable, easy, and personal.

Once we connect, I’ll guide you through every step: from completing your Notice of Intended Marriage and understanding the legal requirements, to shaping the style and tone of your ceremony. Together, we’ll discuss what matters most to you, whether that’s including family traditions, writing personal vows, or keeping things simple and heartfelt.

I’ll prepare a draft ceremony script, help with readings or music choices, and ensure all legal documents are accurate and ready. In the weeks leading up to the big day, we’ll finalise timing, confirm your run sheet, and rehearse key moments so everyone feels comfortable and confident.

On the day itself, you can relax knowing everything is in place. My role is to make sure your ceremony feels genuine, well-organised, and full of joy

I'm here to make your moment memorable for all the right reasons.

How It Works

Step 1 Meet and Connect

We’ll start with an easy, no-pressure chat - in person or online - to talk about your plans, your story, and what you want your ceremony to feel like. I can explain the legal process and paperwork and answer any questions you have about timing, paperwork, or what’s involved.

Step 2 Plan and Personalise

Once you’ve decided to book, I’ll guide you through crafting a ceremony that feels genuine and completely you. We’ll explore ideas, readings, rituals, music, and vows - whether you want something relaxed, traditional, or a little quirky. I’ll also take care of the legal details so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Step 3 Draft and Review

I’ll send through a draft ceremony script for you to review. Together, we’ll fine-tune the tone and flow until it feels just right. I’ll also help you prepare your personal vows and coordinate the ceremony order with your venue and photographer/videographer.

Step 4 Rehearse and Finalise

In the lead-up to your wedding, we’ll meet again to confirm timings, finalise your run sheet, and rehearse the key moments so everyone feels confident and ready for the big day.

Step 5 Celebrate!

On your wedding day, I’ll be there early to make sure everything is set up, the paperwork is ready, and everyone knows what’s happening when. Then, I’ll lead your ceremony with warmth, heart, and professionalism, so all you need to do is breathe, smile, and say “I do.”

Wedding Event FAQs

Q: Where do we start???

A: Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start...! When it comes to planning the wedding ceremony, it's best to start with the celebrant - Me! Let's first catch-up and just chat. I totally understand that not every celebrant fits for every couple. Let's meet, have a coffee/wine/beer and get to know each other. If you feel I'm the right fit for your big day, then I can guide you on the next steps!

Q: Can we get married sooner than one month from now?

A: Only in exceptional circumstances, with a special shortening granted by Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM). I can explain the process and help you with the paperwork if you think this might apply.

Q: What identification do we need to provide?

A: Generally, you’ll need your original birth certificates or passports, plus photo ID. If you’ve been married before, you’ll also need divorce or death certificates (not your, obvs...). I’ll check everything with you ahead of time.

Q: Is the certificate I get on the day the legal one?

A: The pretty certificate you sign during the ceremony is a keepsake. The official registered certificate (which you need for name changes, passports, etc.) comes from Births, Deaths and Marriages - I can apply for it on your behalf.

Q: What legal paperwork do we need to be married in Australia?

A: You’ll need to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least one month before your wedding. You'll also need to complete the Official Certificate of Marriage (OCM) and the Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage (DONLIM). Don't sweat - I’ll guide you through this stuff, witness your signatures, and lodge your paperwork with Births, Deaths and Marriages after the ceremony.
